Mike Wynne is the President and CEO of EMERGE, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit he launched in 2006 after serving as vice president, director, and staff person at Pillsbury United Communities (Emerge’s heritage organization). Mike has spearheaded several new public/private community economic development initiatives in north Minneapolis in recent years, including closing on a $6.5M capital campaign to build the EMERGE Career & Technology Center opening in 2014. Mike’s work focuseson the intersections of job training, social enterprise, community development and youth and familyprogramming.

Mike earned his BA in Sociology/Urban Studies at Hamline University, and has completed multiple graduate certifications in management including Stanford’s Business Executive Program in Social Entrepreneurship. Mike is a key leader on several local multi-agency collectives and boards.
